Might I recommend checking out the local animal shelters? There are

usually several chickens in need of rescue, and I can't think of a more

vegan way to provide a home for chickens than to take in those animals who

will be euthanized if they are not adopted.

 

The SF Animal Care and Control site is a good place to start:

They just had a chicken adoption this weekend, so you might give it a week

or so before checking, or maybe just call the center and mention that

you're interested in adopting chickens, and could they please give you a

call when they receive some?
