travel to Montara State Beach for 4th of July

Hi all,

 

Public transit is not easy on the coast. I would highly suggest carpooling

where possible. If you can need or offer a ride, please feel free to post

a message to the list. Be sure to list your location and your email

address. And if you don't check email frequently, perhaps you should list

an alternate method for contact as Friday is quickly approaching.

 

A few folks (Mr. Pete - SF, Jeng - East Bay, Jordan - East Bay) offered

rides last week. Login to our home page and you can view the

archives if you didn't keep the messages.

 

 

Everyone travelling to Montara from SF will travel by Linda Mar shopping

center so perhaps that could be a pickup point. Meeting at Daly City or

Colma BART could also be a pickup point.

 

If you're determined to take public transit, I think taking BART to the

Colma station and then catching a bus to Pacifica, with another bus to

Montara is probably the only way via public transit. I am not sure what

the schedules are since 4th of July is a holiday weekend so please verify

everything before setting out:

perhaps " 112 "

 

Then you'd have to catch a bus from Linda Mar to Montara.. Local bus system

Linda Mar is about 5 miles from Montara State Beach (through Devil's Slide,

a beautiful scenic highway along the ocean) -- about a 10 minute drive.
