Hello all. I was having a bad day, and I did get a little angry about some of

the emails I got. I should have known better than to post that on this web

group's forum. I realize that even within niche groups such as the vegan group,

there will be disagreements. While I don't expect everyone to understand, I

understand what everyone said to me. Although I didn't specifically say that I

would adopt chickens, it was my intention. I understand the situation with

overpopulation of animals. I just didn't see the harm in what I wanted to do.

Being a vegan is a lot about learning about yourself. It does involve a lot of

sacrifices and choices that are hard. And, maybe I was being a little selfish

for my own enjoyment in raising little chickens from the egg. I guess it is

hard when one points out that what you are doing is bad to animals even when

your best intentions are to do your best by them. I only have the best

intentions and felt berated and told I was doing something bad.

I accept your opinions. I was harsh in saying I would no longer post. I will

post, and I will accept this forum as a place to learn, develop ideas, and grow

as a compassionate, aware human being.
