Your veg friends, Mary Margaret Earl and Warren Jones, are leading a lovely hike at Mount Tamalpais on Saturday July 12. We'll gather at 10:30 a.m. at Pan Toll station, and descend the Steep Ravine trail, which is a lush and lovely hike over bridges and beside running water. There is even a ladder to climb down. Our destination will be Stinson Beach, where we'll picnic together on the vegetarian bag lunches we'll each bring (everyone is responsible for her/his own lunch). Then, the climbing-inclined will head back up the trail, for a good workout to burn off lunch. Those who would rather relax while their food digests, can enjoy the beach and take a bus back up the mountain. One group leader will accompany each group. Carpooling to this event is a very good idea, as it is $4 to park at Pan Toll, and $5 to cross back over the Golden Gate. Carpooling is just a good idea, anyhow. For those who want to take public transit, you can take the Golden Gate Transit bus, and get info by calling them at (415) 923-2000. Let us know if you'd like to come, so we have an idea of who to round up that morning. See you then!
