Guest guest
You are invited to San Francisco Vegetarian Coffee Talk -- an opportunity to get together for coffee, tea (or whatever) and conversation in the City's beautiful North Beach neighborhood. Sunday, July 27, 2003. Time: 10:30 a.m. and continuing for as long as folks want to stay. Place: The beautiful Caffe Greco, 423 Columbus Ave. on the west side of the street between Vallejo and Stockton/Green. The Greco is a large, bright venue with a glass wall overlooking Columbus Ave., music that is not too loud to talk over and incredible illy brand coffee imported from Italy. All coffee drinks can be made with soy milk. The Greco offers lots of ovo-lacto veggie food including muffins, cakes, pies and gelatos as well as some vegan food such as focaccias, pizzettas, bagels and, sometimes, strawberries dipped in vegan dark chocolate. RSVP to plcohon. Should there be a great deal of interest, the group will be limited to the first 11 who RSVP. I will not be there if there are no RSVPs. If you attend, I'll be the guy in the white, Panama hat (at least for awhile). If you inform me that you are coming and then change your mind, please let me know as soon as possible so someone on the waiting list, if there is one, can come. There are 2 City parking lots on Vallejo between Stockton and Powell (next to and across from the Central Police Station) but, as street parking in the neighborhood is limited, public transportation is recommended. To the best of my knowledge the 30 and 15 bus lines both go to within a block of the Greco. For specific information, contact MUNI at (415) 673-6864 or check out www.sfmuni.com. I'll look forward to seeing some of you on Sunday morning, July 27th. And don't forget to check out Lyman's Veggie Coffee Talks at Peet's in San Mateo. It's just a short drive from the City and the conversation is as good as the coffee. [small print: If you accept this invitation you agree to come at your own risk and expressly waive any and all liability on my part.]
