Guest guest Posted July 8, 2003 Report Share Posted July 8, 2003 After many months of being closed due to extensive kitchen remodeling, New World Vegetarian Restaurant, a longtime favorite of mine at 464 Eighth Street in Oakland (heart of the vegan gourmet ghetto) has reopened. The kitchen is much larger, the floors have been redone, the dark wooden tables are new. The menu is the same for now, but will be changing. Staff told me that old favorites will still be available by request. I encourage old and new customers to have great vegan food at New World in an aesthetically pleasing environment. Wait staff were friendly and helpful. Bob Aside from being a fan of New World, and Bode before them, I have no financial or personal connections to this restaurant.
