Guest guest
According to today's Chron, anti-PETA activist extraordinaire Michael Savage was fired from his talk show on MSNBC-TV news. He said he didn't know the microphone was on when he commented that a gay caller should " get AIDS and die. " That's one for PETA and the gay community, zero for Savage. Also in today's Chron, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration is expected to unveil a new rule requiring the makers of cookies, crackers and other popular snack foods to list trans-fat amounts on nutrition panels. As trans-fat, which comes from hydrogenated vegetable oils, is in so many prepared foods and as it lowers HDL (good cholesterol) and raises LDL (bad cholesterol) levels, that's good news for us all.
