Wanted: Volunteers for World Vegetarian Day, Oct 4 (Sat)

Hello all,

 

SFVS will be hosting its 4th World Vegetarian Day Festival at the San

Francisco County Fair Building on October 4 (Saturday) at the San

Francisco County Fair Building (beside the Arboretum, 9th Ave &

Lincoln Way) in Golden Gate Park.

 

The entire day event which starts at 10 a.m. and end at 5 p.m. will

feature speakers, international food booths, cooking and raw foods

demos, local or out-of-state vendors, non-profit organizations, free

food sampling or to buy and entertainment. The featured speakers are:

John Robbins (author, Diet for a New America) and John McDougall

(author, McDougall Medicine). The evening program which starts at 5

p.m. and ends at 10 p.m. will be more entertainment, disco-dancing,

compassionate fashion shows, line dancing and dance exhibitions. DJ

for the evening will be " SOUND INNOVATION.

 

Volunteer yourself and your group of friends (meet other local

vegetarians and make friends, and mostly to enjoy) for:

 

set-up or clean-up

reception and registration

Parking attendants

information booth

volunteer center

vendors'aide

sample distribution

giving out flyers

children's table

 

We request prospective volunteers to provide at least 4 hours of

volunteer time. Volunteers will be provided with a free SFVS T-shirt,

free foods, one free admission ticket into the festival for your

guest.
