Guest guest
Foie Gras Bill Passes California Senate! Senate Bill 1520 (SB 1520), introduced by Senator John Burton, passed the California State Senate on Tuesday, May 18! This is a major victory and represents the greatest progress to date for legislation to prohibit the cruel force feeding of birds to produce foie gras in the U.S. Thank you to everyone who contacted their California state senator in support of this humane legislation. SB 1520 now goes to the California Assembly. It is imperative for California citizens to contact their state assemblymembers and to urge them to vote " YES " on SB 1520. If you live in California, or know others who do, please get involved in this effort. Contact information for California state assembly members can be found at http://www.leginfo.ca.gov/yourleg.html. For more information on SB 1520, please You can also contact campaign or call 607-583-2225 ext 247 to get involved. Further information about the cruelty of foie gras production can be found at www.NoFoieGras.org.
