Guest guest
We had 23 people drive all over the Bay Area from Sunnyvale, San Francisco, Marin, Canada and from different organizations join the fundraising dinner at Fairfax for the benefit of SFVS. Of course, we had Lydia and her daughter Sky (who was born a vegetarian / vegan) serving this fun group with scrumptuous raw foods or cooked foods choices. We had: soup du jour (raw or cooked) or garden salad Entree: Raw nut vegetable loaf served with creamy spunky, marinated kale and cabbage, or Cooked Stuffed Tomato Provencal with roasted almonds, sunflower seeds, garlic & onion with celery and Spanish Rice Dessert: Raw carob macademia nut cake with banana almond cream and carob date frosting The food was especially delicious and filling especially the raw nut vegetable loaf which was so tasty. Your omnivore friends will prefer this loaf over their usual faire. Not to be missed is the big serving of raw carob macademia nut cake which is extraordinarily delicious. The restaurant has a nice typical ambiance, not the hippy atmosphere type. Service was excellent. The restaurant even has a display case of their menu displaying mouth watering raw vegan sushi, raw pesto pizza, their assorted raw cakes. Am I in heaven or what ? I look forward to having another round of drive and dinner to Lydia's Organics soon. Care to join me ? Thank you to the organizers of the event and to Lydia for sponsoring this benefit dinner.
