DawnWatch tip: CBS Evening News to cover Internet Hunting -- Tuesday,

March 15

FROM CBS EVENING NEWS:

(CBS) Here's an early look at what we're working on for Tuesday’s broadcast:

Hunting and shooting animals over the internet? You heard right. But is it

really sporting and should anyone be able to do it? The story on Tuesday’s CBS

Evening News.

-----------------------------

CBS Evening News airs at 6:30 in most markets, but check your local listings.

CBS Evening News has some history, though not as much as news on other networks,

of animal friendly coverage. Internet hunting seems like a no-brainer -- one

doesn't have to be a committed animal advocate to oppose it, so coverage of that

issue is a safe bet. But we should express appreciation for any animal friendly

coverage since positive feedback will encourage more of it. The evening news

shows take their feedback seriously, and the animals need friendly news

coverage! Watch if you can, and if Internet hunting is portrayed in an

unfavorable light, please thank the show. CBS News takes comments at:

(Thanks to Judith Gaughran for making sure we knew about this.)
