Guest guest
Dear Enviro, Now is your last chance to be a part of these Greenpeace parties for the whales! Check it out. RSVP for a Whale-Watching Party in YOUR Community <http://www.partylaunch.com/greenpeace/findparty/index.cfm> It's been a long and emotional journey over the last month, but the time has come to leave the whaling grounds and head homeward. I feel confident that we've made a real difference here, but I know that our efforts here were just the beginning. The bottom line is that out here in this ocean, in these small boats, we can save some whales, we can delay how long it takes to kill a whale, but we're not going to be able to stop whaling on our own. The real action isn't going to take place here, it's going to take place back home, with pressure on Gorton's to do the right thing and get out of the whaling business. Some of you have written me, and called me a hero, but the real heroics start now - with YOU - and thousands of other Americans. Take Action! RSVP for a Whale-Watching Party in YOUR Community <http://www.partylaunch.com/greenpeace/findparty/index.cfm>! This Friday, you can join whale-lovers from across the country at more than 135 parties. Watch a video of our boats confronting the Japanese whaling fleet, and join me on a conference call from onboard the ship. Find out what you can do at home to stop whaling. Partygoers will make origami whales to send to us for an upcoming event, and will make a plan to get thousands of postcards sent to Gorton's. You've already told Gorton's what you think of funding whale slaughter - now it's time to show them. Don't miss this opportunity <http://www.partylaunch.com/greenpeace/findparty/index.cfm> to have a good time with some like-minded people, while working to save whales. Sincerely, Nathan Santry Nathan Santry Crewmember of the Esperanza P.S. Check out a couple of the parties planned for Friday: Rad in Scottsdale, Arizona is expecting more than 100 people at his party. This is Rad's first-ever organizing experience, but according to him, it's been a piece of cake. He'll be bringing guests to Dos Gringos Cantina where they'll watch the footage and fold paper whales over chips and salsa. On the other side of the country, there's a much different party in the works. Georgeanne, a member of a local sea turtle-watching group, says she favors something a little more intimate. She's having a handful of people over to her house where she'll be serving some seafood-alternative snacks. There are all sorts of parties planned but two things link them together: a love for whales and a desire to work to protect them. If you would like to invite your friends to a party, send them an e-card <http://www.democracyinaction.org/dia/organizations/greenpeace//postcard.jsp?pos\ tcard_KEY=67 & t=eCard.dwt>!
