Letter protest to Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk for offering discounts thr'u' KFC

Dear Animal Rights Folks,

 

At the anti-KFC demo at KFC this past Sunday, participant Robyn

Newkirk observed that the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk had a poster on the KFC

door

advertising discount coupons to the Boardwalk available inside KFC outlets.

 

I suggest people write to the Santa Cruz Beach boardwalk and ask

that the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk end its discount coupon tie-in with KFC.

Dear Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk:

 

Please end the program of offering discount coupons through KFC.

 

(1) There is a boycott against KFC spearheaded by PETA because

KFC refuses to adhere to even the most minimal animal welfare standards; and

 

(2) KFC is the defendant in a class-action suit filed by the

Center for Science in the Public Interest for the unhealthy trans-fat content

in

its food.

 

It dismays me that the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk would link itself

with KFC, known to PETA as Kentucky Fried Cruelty and to health-conscious

consumers as a source of " crispy-fried arteries. "
