Dear Friends,

Can you help us spread the word about World Vegetarian Day? We need

your postering help! Good places to poster are high visibility spots

such as shop windows -- of health food stores, dry cleaners,

laundromats, coffeehouses, restaurants, bars, gyms, community

bulletin boards. What I do is look around for shop windows where

there's already posters, or on walls.

What I do is introduce myself to the store owner, then ask if I can

put my poster in their window. Bring invisible scotch tape and also

thumb tacks for bulletin boards.

Timing: You can start now, and also again after Labor Day, as people

often forget if the event is too far away, or our poster will get

covered by other events.

The VegNews office is our pick up point for posters; also we have

postcards you can mail to your friends, or leave at places where

there's no place to put up a poster; perhaps they have a small

bulletin board. The VegNews office is at 3620 Wawona by 47th Ave.,

by the Zoo. By public transit, the L Taraval streetcar goes there;

get off at the end of the line. They are open M-F 9-6pm. Their

office number is (415) 665.6397.

Or you can email or call me: <janet.tom, 415.864.5487 and

we can figure out how to get them to you.

Thanks for your help!

Janet

P.S. If you're planning on going to Bonnie Knight's potluck this

Sunday, at 6:30pm (see earlier announcements) we'll have posters &

postcards there too.
