Guest guest
Come visit The San Francisco Vegetarian Socety at our table! If you want to volunteer, please contact Nancy Loewen, at nloewen or(415)750-0614. Greetings! Here's a home-stretch update on the Expo for the Artist & Musician. This year, the Expo has been listed as a featured pick in the Chronicle's Sunday Datebook, and in the SF Weekly's " Night & Day " event listing. Since kicking the 2006 event series off last Thursday we've presented free workshops on everything from bookbinding and photorealistic stenciling to grantseeking and low-power FM basics. And there's still more to come! SATURDAY: THE MAIN EVENT On Saturday, we're excited to present the SEVENTH annual Expo for the Artist & Musician, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at SomArts Cultural Center, 934 Brannan Street x 8th Street. We have a bunch of new organizations exhibiting this year, as well as many returning friends. The Expo on Saturday will also feature workshops, entertainment, a kid's art area, food, and an outdoor beer and wine garden. * Note: There is still time to get a table at the Expo for your arts, cultural and educational organization, gallery, collective, consultancy or small business: http://artsandmedia.net/expo/register/ The Expo is an all-day extravaganza featuring scores of Bay Area arts organizations, free workshops, performances, and hundreds of local artists and musicians. Attendees can browse tables staffed by local venues, nonprofits, collectives and small businesses; present their portfolios; and join in workshops on grant proposals, censorship, arts marketing, underground art history, making a demo tape and more.
