$15 Admission; $7 Senior/Student/Union Members/Bike Riders; Free

Children under 12

This is a festive 3-day event that promotes sustainable ecology. Be

warned, however, that they also support organic cooperative farms that

include " organic livestock and fisheries. " Nevertheless, SFVS will

have a booth #21 to promote information on a true ecologically balanced

approach to a green sustainable world environment that does not include

We're looking forward to being there, too. Julie will be doing reg

on Sat and I'll be a roaming photographer throughout the day. We'll

also be at Deepak's talk tonight and Dr. Weil's on Sun. I found out

that certain orgs who advertised for the Green Festival get free

booth space. Perhaps we could arrange that with them next year by

agreeing to put ads in the newsletter, on this listserv, and to have

fliers at our Veg Fest. I'm also going to try to speak there next

year. As with most conventions like this, there are sadly no

speakers dedicated to making the eco-veg connection. Peace, Dan

veggie Janet Tom will be there doing cashier work Sunday morning. She's

the lady with big eyes, big smiley face and a short hair cut.

go check out Biofuel Oasis, they have a booth in the alternative energy

area,

they invested a lot of money so they can tell everyone about their new

" gas " BIODIESEL station in Berkeley.

 

Biodiesel is made from veggie oil, not dead dino oil.

reminder, even thought the brochure says so, SFVS WILL NOT have a booth

SFVS can not afford the price of the booth this year,, maybe next year...

Green Festival is not perfect, but all their food at the Food Court is

veggie and l/2 of it is vegan and organic!

 

Let's pray it will go all vegan food will be served in the future...

a few vegans are sort of praying it will happen and it can.... the

committee has to vote on it...
