Guest guest
Hi folks Karen, since you brought it up, I just also have to mention that Whole Foods has hired Chef Alex Bury to teach a vegetarian (vegan) Thanksgiving class at their San Mateo store. We normally don't promote for profit events on the list, but Alex has always been very enthusiastic about volunteering her time and skills for Bay Area Vegetarians at several free cooking presentations that we've done as outreach over the past several months. Plus writing our monthly cooking column in the e-newsletter. Whole Foods Thanksgiving Class Menu: Roasted Carrot Butter Roasted Kabocha Squash Soup with Orange and Cardamom Cream Mushroom Strudel with Golden Garlic and Cashew-Miso Gravy Wild Rice and Cranberry Pilaf Chocolate Pecan Pie It's just $30 per person - This includes everything, no extra materials fees, etc. Thursday, November 16th 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm See the Whole Foods Market website for more info http://www.wholefoodsmarket.com/stores/calendars/SMT.html Cheers Chris
