San Francisco, CA: Internationally acclaimed for its new-shojin Japanese cuisine of the Zen monasteries of Kyoto, Medicine will make a departure from this serious, healthful fare for one night only, Valentine's Day, and offer an exquisite vegetarian feast that speaks to the senses. Executive Chef Bryan Waites is developing a six- course, fresh, seasonal, sensual Japanese menu to celebrate love on Wednesday, February 14. Waites will be using special spice blends that contain aphrodisiac qualities to raise the heat level, and will draw on his training as a classical French chef to create visually stunning presentations. The dinner will cost $50 per person, including tea service, and artisan truffles made exclusively for Medicine by Chocolat Christophe. There will be a live, classical guitar serenade in the dining room from 6 – 10 PM. Medicine's regular tasting menus will not be available on Valentine's night. Reservations are now being accepted at (415) 677-4405 or online at www.medicinerestaurant.com. Reservations may be made for seating for the Valentine's dinner from 5 PM to 9:30 PM; after that the a la carte menu will be available. Medicine is located at 161 Sutter Street near Union Square in downtown San Francisco in the Crocker Galleria. The restaurant has a private entrance and elevator on Sutter Street.
