Dole grapefruit juice has carmine + Trader Joes- organic produce + veg pizza

The bottle of Ruby Red Grapefruit juice says " 100% Juice " boldly 3

times the label. Customer Service Rep-said even though

flavorings and coloring are added the 100% juice is related to amount

of fruit pulp that is in the juice. (I don't understand about " FDA

labeling " )(did you know genetically modifed produce must have a label with an

" 8 " )

I told the lady, Dole should label the juice " contains red beetle " in

your juice. I told her I bought the juice thinking it is really pure

juice and drank it right away. I found out after taking a few sips

that I got grossed out that " carmine " was in the ingrediants. Dole is giving me

a coupon for the cost of the juice which was around $1.75. Feel free to give

expiration date, etc... you can just pass your feedback to their

marketing and production department.

speaking of Carmine, 2 years ago, Trader Joes took out their

strawberry soy milk which had carmine in it. It took around 5 years

of pleading before Trader Joes took the " red " soymilk off the shelf.

Trader Joe, is stocking more organic produce. I can also see they

will use less plastic packing on their produce, due to pressures from

their customers.

One of the best vegan bargains at Trader Joes is their frozen Black

Bean Enchildas. It's actually made by Amy's, the only difference in

the product, is less spicy. Sold for $2 instead of $4 at Whole Foods

or any other retail outlets.
