Guest guest Posted March 19, 2007 Report Share Posted March 19, 2007 Ann Wheat, SFVS member, owner of Millennium, and vegan activist extraordinaire has been honored by her alma mater's Alumnae Association of Russell Sage College for Women with the " Woman of Influence " Award. The award is given to those alumnae who " embody the ideas expressed in the College's motto: " to be, to know, to do " " - which means " a woman who takes the life lessons and skills learned during her years at Russell Sage, and use them with purpose to shape opinions, make decisions, lead others, and with impact, better the lives of others. " Ann certainly has been doing that. What greater impact on other beings, human or animals, and on the planet than to promote a vegan diet and life style. Ann does this through her support of the San Francisco Vegetarian Society, Marin Vegetarians, the Millennium, and numerous other outreach activities, especially Breast Cancer symposiums and workshops.
