Please could you tell me would it be wrong for a vegetarian to consume this? " I have never purchased Red Bull, but this statement sounds like an absurd urban myth, at best. The Web site says: " The taurine in Red BullR Energy Drink is a purely synthetic substance produced by pharmaceutical companies and is not derived from animals or animal materials. All ingredients for Red BullR Energy Drink are synthetically produced by pharmaceutical companies. This guarantees the highest quality. " The person who wrote to the SFVS about this is clearly trying to make fun of vegetarians to see just how gullible we are. Let's not fall for it. Pete PS.
