Publicity person needed for World Veg Weekend Event

Dear Volunteers --

 

World Veg Weekend will be held this year on Saturday, September 29

and Sunday, September 30th, and the planning is full steam ahead already.

One of the jobs that currently needs filling is someone (or two or three!)

to be the PR person, i.e., to publicize the event as widely as possible to

the Bay Area community and beyond. The volunteers who have done this in

past years are not available this year, and so we need new volunteers.

 

The tasks that need to be done do not have to be reinvented -- that

is, the person or persons who take this on will have the advantage of

receiving information used for publicity in past years. The job entails

sending press releases and notices to Bay Area newspapers and community

calendars, radio and television stations, and of course to the internet --

and to any other media the PR volunteer and planning committee can think of

to get the word out about our event.
