WORLD VEG FESTIVAL, commemorating World Vegetarian Day

The San Francisco Vegetarian Society and In Defense of Animals, will

be presenting WORLD VEG FESTIVAL, commemorating World Vegetarian

Day.

 

The two-day event takes place Saturday and Sunday, September 29th and

30th 2007 in the San Francisco County Fair Building, located at the

Lincoln and 9th Avenue entrance to Golden Gate Park, San Francisco.

 

This Award Winning Festival celebrates its 8th year with an action

packed weekend of very inspirational and informative lectures by the

movers and shakers of the current movement toward Compassionate,

Healthy, Vegetarian living plus Creative Vegan Cooking Demos; Free

Food Samples; the very popular Eco Fashion Show, a Children's Corner

play area, and a variety of " Live " Entertainment.

 

In addition there will be plenty of booths where festival goers can

purchase a diverse assortment of ethnic, vegan foods, and an array of

earth and vegan friendly merchandise.

 

Saturday & Sunday, September 29 & 30, 2007

 

Time: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

I never hear about World Vegetarian Day unless a veg group is

holding an event that day. Does anyone else do something special for

world veg day?

Our loval vegetarian society has stalls in town, and displays at the

library, but they don't have any celebrations.
