Here's info on tickets. Here's more info: http://www.flyawayproductions.com/10women.html The 10 Women Campaign is a performance event that builds a bridge between women in the arts and civic life. The campaign is an evening with performances by Flyaway Productions and various guest artists, followed by an intimate, personal acceptance speech by each of the awardees. Those who attend gain tremendous insight into the motivation and issues important to each woman that we honor. We also host a pre-event reception where you are invited to meet and talk with the awardees face to face. This year we will honor ten women " Truth-Tellers " for their honesty, commitment to fight hypocrisy in their own sphere of influence and dedication to principled communication and service. " Truth-Telling' is the inspiration for Flyaway's upcoming new work, called " Lies You Can Dance To. " The campaign awards are presented by 10 leading women in the San Francisco dance/performance community. Through this aspect of the campaign, we are encouraging dance as a vehicle for community gathering. We also hope to bring visibility to female leadership inherent to (but often overlooked in) the Bay Area's contemporary dance community. Bay Area women in dance have and are continuing to forge substantial pathways for artistic creation, mentoring, and community building. On the next Your Call, we talk with Howard Lyman, the fourth generation rancher who rose to fame after he and Oprah were sued by the cattle industry for libeling beef, a crime in Texas. They won the suit. Lyman is now on a crusade to change food safety policies and end our addiction to meat. What would a world of vegetarians look like? What would happen to livestock if we all became vegan? It's Your Call with Rose Aguilar and you. go to the web site to Listen: The Mad Cowboy == I need to put my opinions below in a blog, can anyone suggest, where I should post it? after we get 600,000 signatures to get a ballot on not caging food animals... The multimillion dollar attorneys from the meat industry can easily inform the public that our cost of meat will increase and can be at much as 3 folds... more than 95% of the population are meat eaters , the rest are vegetarians.... we are definately the minority, i think this our chance to educate folks as much as possible that they don't need meat. What I'm trying to say is, I personally think passing the bill would be hard.... but lots of friends are tryinggood luck on saving animals. I'm definately for the animals... == I went to a 84 person catered party in Berkeley this is what people ordered 29 fish 29 chicken 19 beef 7 vegetarian, and not everyone were vegetarian folks that means 92% order meat and 8% ordered vegetarian meals. My date and I chose the vegan meal. (it looked the best and it was great-stir fry veggies in teriyaki sauce) Obeserving from the above dinner choices, we can tell people LOVE their meat! in other parts of the States it's meat every meal! No wonder, there's so little vegetarian restaurants out there and so many of those restaurants are going out of business.... == thanks for listening, I'm so upset that people don't know where their meat comes from and don't want to know either!
