THE SAN FRANCISCO SPCA, a non-profit animal welfare organization, is

seeking a proactive, service-oriented individual to provide IT desktop

support services.

 

 

 

 

This full-time position is responsible for providing desktop support to

130 end-users, in a Windows 2003/XP environment. The Desktop Support

Specialist assists the IT Manager with the maintenance of servers,

communication systems, and copiers; conducts new-user orientations; and

provides on-going training.

 

 

 

 

Founded in 1868, The SF/SPCA is a national leader in saving lives and

raising the status of companion animals. We have a staff of 165, a

budget of $13 million, 10,000 donors and a dedicated corps of more than

900 volunteers. Our innovative programs and services include: Maddie's

Pet Adoption Center; Community Veterinary Services, including the

SF/SPCA Animal Hospital and Spay/Neuter Clinic; Hearing Dog Program;

Humane Education; public Dog Training classes; Feral Cat Assistance

Program; and Animal Assisted Therapy.

 

 

 

 

Our ideal candidate has excellent customer service skills,

experience with training, and the ability to resolve problems quickly.

You¢ll need extensive experience working in a Microsoft networked

environment, knowledge of Windows Active Directory and network

administration functions. It¢s critical that you have excellent

organizational and communication skills. We need someone who can work

independently within a team environment, manage several tasks

simultaneously, and be able to complete them under time sensitive

Located in the Mission District, the SF SPCA offers a competitive

salary with a generous benefits including health, dental and vision
