In the January 2-8 issue of the Guardian, a supposedly progressive San Francisco

paper, the

CHEAP EATS writer L.E. Leone devotes 11 paragraphs to making sophomoric jokes

about

PETA's campaign against cruel chicken-farming practices.

Contrast this with Ms. magazine, which is proactive in animal rights issues and

regularly runs

full-page humane farming advertisements.

You can send letters to the Editor of the Bay Guardian:

135 Miississippi St.

San Francisco, Ca. 94107

or

e-mail LETTERS

Thank-you

Peggy
