Guest guest
Does anyone know WHY food producers think they need cloning anyway? Aren't there enough cattle produced by natural mating? Seeing that there is really no NEED for cloned meat, I wonder if this ploy is a way for cloning scientists to get in the door, get cloning to become a household word, make it societally acceptable so they can move forward with other cloning designs. THe cattle industry has a powerful lobby and trillions of dollars. So who better to market your wares to than a powerful group like that? The quality of cloned food cant be any good. I remember from the first experiment with Dolly the Sheep that the lamb cloned from her had cells equivalent to her adult age with all the ravages of living a life that Dolly had accumulated. With each successive cloning, I would imagine that the genetic soundness of any animals would become weaker and weaker. It almost seems too ignorant, too poorly planned to even be real! This should be in a B rated Scifi book or something. Anyway, just my 2 cents karel **************Biggest Grammy Award surprises of all time on AOL Music.
