What we're bringing out to GREEN APPLE

Friends of the Sustainable Living Roadshow,

 

I am writing to remind you that we are gearing up for the Earth Day celebration

at next Sunday's Green Apple Music Festival on April 20th. Come on out this

weekend to help us build out several elements of the Roadshow for next Sunday's

festival.. We will be working on eco-carnival games, painting banners & signs,

making flags, fixing and painting tents and a small wood dome, and a variety of

other projects.

 

Plus if you have any environmentally themed art, installations or have an

interest in volunteering to help get things prepared for April 20th, please

email me at slrvolunteer. Read below to find out all that we are

bringing out to this years event.

Sustainable Living Roadshow @ the Green Apple Music Festival

The Sustainable Living Roadshow (SLR) is a Bay Area based caravan of educators,

entertainers and activists who showcase immersive educational eco-villages to

empower communities and individuals to utilize sustainable living strategies for

a healthier planet.

 

SUN · 4/20/08 · Earth Day Celebration · San Francisco

We will be making our second appearance at this years Green Apple Music Festival

at Speedway Meadows in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco on Sunday April 20th,

2008.

 

We are proposing to bring out:

 

1. 2 Bio-Fuel Powered Buses with eco-interiors

2. An Eco Airstream with eco-interior

3. Renewable Fueled Vehicles (4-8)(SVO, Biodiesel, Hybrid, Ethanol)

4. Biofuel Education Station

5. Solar PV station

6. Bicycle Display - promoting bike culture and different types of bikes

7. Bike Generator Display

8. Eco-Info Shop with books, magazines, pamphlets, stickers etc.

9. Non-profit Community Groups info zone

10. Healers area for Massage and Herbal Apothecary

11. Green Market featuring sampling and consumer education

12. Awakened Art Garden- w/Eco-Art display & 20' Earth Mandala of natural

materials

13 Stilt Walkers

14. Urban Gardening Exhibit with plant sale and demonstration

15. Farmers Market - featuring 1-3 local organic farms

16. Side Stage with Amplified Sound for Speakers, Workshops, and some

entertainment, including Circus Pandemonium

17. Eco-Carnival games - (4 booths 10'x10')
