Guest guest Posted May 8, 2008 Report Share Posted May 8, 2008 Courtesy of VegNews This past Friday night in Los Angeles, at the 57th annual Maggie Awards--the nation's largest and longest-running magazine recognition honors--VegNews was named " Best Lifestyle Publication " by the Western Publisher's Association. This was our third Maggie in as many years. After taking home " Most Improved Publication " in 2006 and " Best Signed Editorial " in 2007, we are thrilled to finally accept the Big Prize, which we had been nominated for each of the past three years. Joe was also up for " Best Interview or Profile " for his tribute piece on the late Gretchen Wyler, " The Actress and the Elephant, " but had to settle for a nomination. The other nominees in the Lifestyle category were Alternative Medicine, Mothering, The Advocate, and Vegetarian Times. On behalf of the employees, contributors, supporters, and rs of VegNews, thanks for making this honor a reality.
