Guest guest
From Erin Williams, Communications Director, Factory Farming Campaign, HSUS: I'll be back in the Bay Area this weekend for a really fun event at Animal Place, one of my favorite animal sanctuaries. It's from 12:00 - 3:30 on Saturday, May 31, and it will feature a sanctuary tour as well as book-signings by Margo DeMello and me (authors of Why Animals Matter) and Mark Hawthorne (author of Striking at the Roots). The sanctuary is only a short drive from SF/East Bay and it's a gorgeous place -- I'd love to see you there! And it's a great opportunity to talk about the Prevention of Farm Animal Cruelty Act, a measure that will be on November's ballot that will provide some basic and critically-needed protections to millions of farm animals crammed into abusive cages on California factory farms. Here's more information on the event: http://www.animalplace.org/1newweb/booksigning.html
