Friday, June 20 – Dining out with live music 6:30pm, venue: New Ganges Restaurant, 775 Frederick St (between Arguello Blvd & Lincoln Way). After a long hiatus, Dave Goggin's mostly-monthly dinner parties with guest speakers are starting up again. Join us for a yummy vegan dinner, socialize with old and new friends, and catch up on the latest news and gossip. After dinner, we'll be entertained by Unity Nguyen, a noted bay area master of the dan tranh (16-string Vietnamese zither) and the kora (West African 21-string harp). Unity will give a talk about the instruments and music, and mini-concert. Note: to cover Ms. Nguyen's honorarium, a free will donation will be collected at the dinner.
