OA backpacks Point Reyes National Seashore Oct 10, 11 & 12

Hello Members,

 

OA Sonoma County will be leading a backpack trip in Point Reyes

National

Seashore. I will be reserving a group backcountry site for Friday and

Saturday night, Oct 10 & 11. I will try and get Wildcat Camp group

site.

 

Hike is 6.3 miles from Bear Valley Trailhead. MTB trail is on Stewart

trail

ONLY from the Five Brooks trailhead, 6.7 strenuous miles. Short hike

from

camp to the beach. The camps have toilets and drinking water, but a

filter

or water purifiers may be needed if water is not potable, signs will

be

posted at faucets. I have a filter!

Several options are available:

 

Pack or bike in on Fri.

Pack or bike in on Sat.

Hike or bike in either day just for the day and to hang out.

 

Cost will be from $5-10 per person for the overnighters only.

 

(BYOF) Bring your own food.

 

I have a extra backpack, sleeping bag, stove, sleeping pad, tent, etc.

for

anyone who needs to borrow them.
