Guest guest
Literacy for Environmental Justice (LEJ) has been working with corner store merchants in Bayview Hunters Point to convert their store stock from convenience foods, alcohol and tobacco products to fresh fruits and vegetables. In 2007, LEJ's program was adopted as the model for California statewide legislation. Now LEJ has published the Good Neighbor Best Practices Guide, a step-by-step case study/guidebook and CD of document templates to help communities launch their own conversion projects.
