Dear xxx,

A friend confided to me the other day that he started eating a vegan diet due

in large part to the material he's read from OrganicAthlete. He's been simply

eating plant foods for several weeks, cutting out dairy and other animal

products.

The results? He went from using his asthma inhaler several times per day to

once or twice. His sleep apnea all but disappeared. And he feels better. All

this from eating whole, plant foods.

OrganicAthlete has educated people about the benefits of a whole-food,

plant-based diet and lifestyle for 5 years. Growing from an enewsletter to an

extensive list of educational resources and from a small group of athletes to an

international community, we've come a long way in those years. Here are some

highlights:

published the OrganicAthlete Guide to Sports Nutrition

OrganicAthlete conference brought in athletes from around the US

Tour d'Organics reaches 1000 participants

over 15 chapters formed or forming around the globe

Want a Bamboo Bike? Several members of OrganicAthlete's elite cycling team

have been riding on the Calfee Bamboo bike for much of this racing season. We

love our bamboo bikes! Not only does this bike embody OrganicAthlete values of

sustainability, it has one the of the best ride qualities of any bike I've ever

ridden.

And we have an extra one! We have a 58cm team frame for sale. Normally this

frame retails for $2695, but this frame is for sale for $2200. For more

information contact Michael at Calfee Design - sales.

September Health News

I'd like to thank Ryan Andrews for his regular contributions for the health news

columns. Ryan has been a tremendous volunteer. I never had to remind him to

submit his column. Ryan has taken new volunteer positions with other

organizations and will no longer be our newsletter's health news editor. If you

are interested in serving as our monthly health news editor, or if you have an

idea for a monthly column that you would like to contribute, please email me at
