Dear xxx,

Over the past few weeks, you and tens of thousands of others have taken action

to help pass Prop 2, a common-sense reform that would allow farm animals in

California to simply stand up, lie down, turn around, and spread their limbs.

I'm grateful you're a part of this campaign to stop animal cruelty, and am

writing today to update you and invite you to join the YES! on Prop 2 campaign

in three other ways.

First, some big news: Over the past week, the San Diego Union Tribune and the

Santa Barbara News-Press published editorials in support of Proposition 2. These

two leading newspapers join hundreds of mainstream organizations and media with

their support, including the California Veterinary Medical Association, the

Consumer Federation of America, and the Center for Food Safety.

Now, here are three ways you can show your support for Prop 2:

Join Alicia Silverstone (pictured) and other celebrities -- and ME -- in

telling the world why you're voting YES! on Prop 2 this November. Make a short

video expressing your support! Be creative, funny, or serious -- tape it by

yourself or with your (furry) friends -- just be original! We'll have a

celebrity judge choose the Grand Prize Winner, who will receive a sweet prize.

The People's Choice winner, voted on by our supporters, will also receive a

prize. All videos will be displayed on our YouTube page and shared amongst the

YES! on Prop 2 website and social networks, like Facebook and MySpace.

And remember...it's so easy to make your own video -- just grab your cell phone

or digital camera! You've only got until October 8th! Take a look at my own

video here. Then click here for all the details.

If you share your life with a beloved canine, I invite you to bring your dog to

one of our many " Pet out the Vote " events we're holding throughout the state.

You'll have a great time meeting other animal lovers, and your dog will surely

appreciate joining in solidarity with animals who are forced to live in cramped

and filthy cages barely larger than their bodies for their entire lives. Click

here to find a Pet out the Vote event and other Prop 2 events near you (or

better yet, email me if you're interested in organizing one yourself!).

Finally, if you haven't already, I encourage you to join the hundreds who have

joined the $20/20 campaign. The concept is simple, but the potential benefits

for the campaign are staggering: Ask 20 friends and family to donate $20 each to

help California's 20 million farm animals. Our online tools make it easy to

create your own personal fundraising page. And with deep-pocketed agribusiness

corporations spending millions to defeat this reasonable reform, the campaign

desperately needs donations to get out the vote. Click here to get started.

Together, we'll help stop animal cruelty in California in November. Thank you

for being a part of this campaign.

Sincerely,

Jennifer Fearing

Manager

YES! on Prop 2 Campaign

P.S. The campaign always welcomes one-time donations. If you are able to make a

special one-time donation of your own today, please do so here.
