Volunteers Needed

 

Dearest Volunteers,

 

Your services are greatly needed for the upcoming World Veg Festival

Weekend, October 4-5, 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. (and later), at the San

Francisco County Fair Building, 9th and Lincoln, in the Golden Gate

Park. Please see www.sfvs.org for a detailed description of this

wonderful vegetarian weekend. To make it a true success, and to help

create more vegetarians for our world, your help is needed.

Please, oh please, volunteer!

 

(1) Specific jobs and times are listed below. If you wish to choose a

job and time now, please do so. Simply inform Nancy at

njloewen; or phone at (415) 354-5715 ext 8 .

 

(2) If you have questions and wish to wait to choose your volunteer

job at the Volunteer Orientation Meeting, please come to the World Veg

Festival Volunteer Orientation dinner meeting this coming Friday,

September 19th, 6:30 p.m., at the Institute on Aging, 3600 Geary,

between Arguello and Palm. The plan is for you to check out the

volunteer jobs that are still available (and there are many!), sign up

for those you want to do,have dinner, and then we'll have a brief

orientation about the event and answer any questions you may have.

We'll plan to end the meeting as close to 8:00 p.m. as possible.

Please come if you can. But if you can't, we still want and need your

help. Contact Nancy Loewen, Volunteer Coordinator, at

(3) Whether or not you choose a volunteer job now, please attend the

Volunteer Orientation Meeting if at all possible so that we can give

you as much information as possible about the event and about your

part in making it a big success.

 

(4) If you are unable to attend the Volunteer Orientation meeting, you

can still volunteer, of course! We will communicate by e-mail about

the details of your job.

 

(5) If you have friends or family or anyone else who you think might

like to volunteer, please send them our way. This year's celebration

is a two-day event, and we can't have too many volunteers. THANKS, YOU

GUYS, FOR HELPING!

Building for the event; you need to be comfortable with lifting and

moving boxes, chairs, and tables
