FW: Volunteers STILL Needed -- SOS!

Dear Potential World Vegetarian Weekend Volunteers,

 

Greetings from Nancy Loewen, Volunteer Coordinator. Things are shaping

up pretty well in terms of filling many of the jobs needed, but wouldn't

you know that there are STILL some positions that need filling. If you

can possibly take on one or two of the following jobs, do let me know.

I will be relieved and grateful, and I hope you will feel equally good!

And remember, if you volunteer 4 hours or more, you may have dinner on

Saturday, at 6:30 p.m. for free.

 

So PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE VOLUNTEER!

 

 

Jobs to Volunteer for:

 

Saturday, October 4:

 

10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Handstamp checker (check for stamped hands!)

 

10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Garden Room Door Person (keep doors closed when

presentation in

session -- very important, believe me!)

 

10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Parking Lot director -- help vendors, speakers,

etc. in parking lot

 

 

10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Bathroom monitors -- help keep bathrooms decent;

notify janitor for

2 p.m - 6 pm. big cleanups and for stocking supplies (need 1

male, 1 female per shift)

 

2 p.m. - 6 p.m. Kitchen Monitor -- keep kitchen orderly for cooks;

wash dishes, etc.

 

6 p.m. Dinner set up volunteers; take tickets;

volunteers to help caterer serve

food

 

7:30 - 9 p.m. or so Help clean up auditorium and rest of venue after

dinner

 

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 5

 

10 a.m. - 2 p.m. SFVS Food Sampling Table -- provide food samples

to

2 p.m - 6 p.m. passersby

 

10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Handstamp checker (check handstamps as people

enter event)

 

2 p.m. - 6 p.m. SFVS Information Table -- provide information;

promote

SFVS (with one other volunteer)

 

10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Parking Lot director -- direct traffic for

speakers, etc.

2 p.m. - 6 p.m.

 

10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Keep venue clean during event; rove around, empty

2 p.m. - 6 p.m. recycling or trash bins into dumpster

 

2 - 6 p.m. Garden Room Door Person -- keep doors closed

when

presentation in session -- very

important, believe me!

 

10 a.m. 2 pm. Distribute program & information to people as

they enter event

2 p.m. - 6 p.m.

 

10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Bathroom monitors -- help keep bathrooms decent;

notify 2 p.m. - 2 p.m. - 6 p.m. janitor of big cleanups & for

restocking supplies;

need 1 male & 1 female per shift)

 

6 p.m. til ? Clean up crew
