Guest guest
With the very public death of the racing horse Eight Belles and Barbaro before him, PETA has been demanding immediate changes to the horse racing industry. PETA is asking the industry to make simple changes such as placing a ban on whipping and drugs that mask pain, and not allowing horses to race before three years of age when their fragile bones are still growing. With the annual Breeders' Cup on the way, we need your help to let the horse racing industry know that the public demands change by attending this important and special demonstration. A van will be leaving Oakland on Friday, October 24 at 3 p.m. to head to Arcadia. Group accommodations will be made in the L.A. area Friday night. The van will return to Oakland late Saturday night. What: 100 Person Demonstration at the Breeders' Cup Horse Race When: Saturday, October 25, 9:30 -10:30 a.m. Where: Santa Anita Park and Racetrack, Huntington and Holly Ave., Arcadia If you can attend this demonstration please RSVP to DavidS. Let us know if you need a spot on the bus and provide a cell phone number in your response. Let's get a huge turnout for this and speak up for the hundreds of horses killed by this cruel industry every year!
