I want to invite you to my big presentation about light pollution, in

conjunction with the Koot's Wednesday dinner party.

The dinner is on 10/29 at 6pm at the Red Vic Peace Cafe, 1665 Haight St. in S.F.

My presentation will be from 6:45 - 7:30 in case you can't quite get there by

6pm for the dinner.

This presentation will cover such topics as the tragic impact of artificial sky

glow on our connection to the universe, the main contributors to sky glow and

glare, some examples of highly polluting light fixtures, and how ordinary

citizens can contribute to efforts to reduce light pollution - a reduction that

can save vast amounts of energy and money.

Richly embellished with images and diagrams, the presentation promises to be an

eye-opening revelation of a major environmental problem that few people are even

aware of, and that afflicts not only San Francisco but the entire Bay Area

region.

To RSVP, please call David Koot at 707-774-1904 or email archierieus

That way, Patricia Koot will know how many people are going to show up and can

cook enough yummy vegan dinner. RSVP early - this event will be one of the most

well attended of the entire Wednesday dinner series! nb: The Koots ask for a $10

donation to cover their costs to put these dinners on -- none of that money goes

to me!
