With election day just a week away, we want to make sure that you

take advantage of the unparalleled opportunity to help end some of

the worst cruelty

[http://getactive.peta.org/campaign/iowa_pigfarm_abuse2] that animals

endure on factory farms in California by voting " YES! " on Prop. 2.

Whether you're voting by mail or will vote at the polls on November

4, please be sure to vote " YES! " on Prop. 2.

We still need to get the word out to ensure that other Californians

know about this historic initiative. Please join us tonight, Tuesday,

October 28, from 6 to 8 p.m., and/or on Sunday, November 2, from 2 to

4 p.m. at PETA's Oakland office to make phone calls to PETA's

California members to remind them to get out and vote " YES! " on Prop.

2.

We will share new information about PETA's recent undercover

investigation on a pig farm, which we're hoping will fuel new support

for Prop. 2. We will have our office phones available, but in

anticipation of a good turnout, please bring and plan to use your

cell phones. If you've never phone banked, don't worry—we'll provide

a phone script that you can use, and we'll have staff on hand to

answer questions. Refreshments will be provided to keep you

energized. All you need to bring is yourself, your cell phone, and

your compassion for animals!

If you can join us tonight or on November 2, please RSVP.

[PETABayArea] And please do bring a friend! The new PETA Bay

Area office overlooks beautiful Lake Merritt in Oakland near the

Grand Lake Theater. Parking is easy and convenient. We'll send

directions when we receive your RSVP.

And of course, be sure to vote " YES! " on Prop. 2, and make sure that

your friends, family, neighbors, and everyone you know in California

get out and vote " YES! " on Prop. 2 as well.

Thank you so much for all that you're doing to help animals.

Sincerely,

Kristie Phelps, Assistant Director

Outreach Programs
