One correction about Karma -- there is only one dish that's NOT vegan

(that's the salad w/feta cheese). Everything else is 100% vegan. Hope

you can try them out, either after the KFC demo or some other time.

Although they are small and so far don't have tons of dishes on the menu

(but are planning to add more if all goes well), they deserve a try. So

if you're anywhere near 6th & California, please stop to check it out.

There's not a lot of seating, so you may want to call ahead and get

things to go. If you go, tell Rai (the cook/owner) that Nadine said hi.

Two events for animal people, come to either one or both. (Rain cancels

both).

 

Volunteers invited for anti-KFC leafleting Endorsed by the San

Francisco Vegetarian Society.

Sunday, December 28, 2008, at Noon to 1:00 p.m.

KFC, 4150 Geary Boulevard, at the corner of 6th Avenue, San Francisco.

Leaflets and posters are provided by PETA.

Help educate the public and increase compassion for chickens.

PETA won major concessions from KFC in Canada through leafleting at

Lunch at Karma Restaurant (mostly-vegan restaurant) at 1:15 p.m. (NEW!

A Karma fan wrote and asked if we would try Karma. It is Himalyan vegan

cuisine, low cost, with a few items that are vegetarian, not vegan.)

200 Sixth Avenue, near California Street San Francisco - only two blocks

from the KFC Demo.
