Traveling to East Africa

Hi Friends--I'm heading to East Africa and the Horn of Africa in about three

week's time to do a lot of photography, mostly for NGO's in the region. And I'd

love to get any leads that you might have on places to see, people to meet,

organizations to connect with. I'm including a list below of countries that I'm

definitely visiting, and others that I might visit along the way. And you could

help me out through any of the following:

1) if you know of people I should meet or things that I should do, I'd love

those suggestions.

2) if you know of groups that are doing work that would benefit from having some

documentary photography, and especially if you have a contact there, I'd love

those leads. I'll be doing some of this work pro bono, but I'm also hoping to

charge some affordable day rates as a way to cover some of the trip costs and

the time that it will take to post-process all the images.

3) if you have any old disposable cameras or older point and shoot cameras

(digital or film) that you'd like to get rid of, there's a refugee/relocation

camp in Northern Uganda where I'll be teaching a photography class with teens,

and they'd love the donations.

5) and lastly, if you know anyone who might be interested in subletting my place

for 7 weeks, it's a great place and is around $1000/month, with utilities.
