I am extremely impressed with you because you

had the guts and the courage to announce that

you are a vegetarian and recommended that

every meat eater should seriously consider the

much healthy option.

 

Your Chicago Public Health Dept. colleague

Tim Hadac asked me to spread the word far and

wide about your announcement.

 

On January 14th I forwarded the Tribune publication

of your fabulous announcement to a large number

of organizations and to people like you that support

the health and welfare benefits of vegetarianism.

Dr. Mason, as you know the health hazards associated

with eating animal flesh are well documented

but until recently have not been fully revealed to

the general public.

 

Fortunately more and more prominent leaders like

you are becoming vegetarians and are willing to

promote the health benefits regardless if it is

not politically correct.

 

If Al Gore and Oprah Winfrey had the same

insightfulness and awareness and wisdom

that you have and were as brave and bold as

you are they would have also become vegetarians

and would have also recommended that

everyone do the same, especially for the

health and welfare of all children.

 

Dr. Mason, I seriously believe if you were the

newly elected President of the United States

you would have made the same announcement!!!

 

Imagine what could happen if President Barack

Obama made the same kind of announcement?
