Guest guest
I was googling, and I found this article in a Merced paper: http://www.mercedsunstar.com/167/story/678443.html Weeks ago, someone wrote that the profitable gas industry should bail-out car makers, rather than taxpayers. A very similar case can be made for the pharmaceutical industry bailing-out the cholesterol-farmers, rather than taxpayers. I don't have time to write a letter, though I've been submitting several larger, more-comprehensive [ & rejected] letters & op-eds. If the story runs in a bigger paper, I might write. [Would Merced print the opinion of a Berkeley or SF vegan? ...Perhaps, if it was sufficiently ironic and self-effacing. Y'know: " us Berkeley bleeding liberal vegans think causing cholesterol-related disease is just wonderful; for anti-cholesterol and erectile dysfunction pill-makers, at least. why don't they pay for the dairy-farmers' bailout? " ] If anyone tries, let us know what happens. _______________ Windows Live™: E-mail. Chat. Share.
