Vegan Dinner and GLOBE at Night This Wed. 6 p.m.

This Wed. at 6 p.m., enjoy a yummy vegan dinner catered by Patricia Allen Koot,

NE. Location is the Red Victorian, 1665 Haight St., San Francisco. The dinner

is a nutritionally-balanced and nutrient dense, multi-course meal including

salad, main dish, side dishes, vegan desserts not sweetened with sugar, and

healthy beverages. After dinner, Dave Goggin, an organizer of the Dark Sky

Initiative in San Francisco, will give a short presentation on how you can

participate in GLOBE at Night. GLOBE at Night is a major worldwide happening

going on March 16-28 that lets people actually contribute to scientific research

on artificial night sky brightness. It's a quick, fun, and easy activity that

anyone - including kids - can participate in. But the key to success is getting

as many observations as possible within the study period!
