Guest guest
I have not read the Foie Gras Wars book or heard the author (Mark Caro) speak. However, the review of this book in the Sunday Chronicle yesterday gives the impression that the author wants to present " both sides...the middle ground, " and he does NOT take a stand on behalf of the rights of the animals involved. I cannot understand how there can be a " middle ground " when duck and geese farmers and restaurants are profiting from animal cruelty. _Click here: 'The Foie Gras Wars,' by Mark Caro_ (http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2009/03/22/RV9M1697PH.DTL & hw=f\ oie+gras & sn=001 & sc=1000) If the book review is accurate, the SFVS should not be promoting this author.
