Tuesday, Sept 1

 

The group will arrive Los Angeles Airport in the early afternoon and will call

the Charter Bus company to let them know you have arrived and that you are at

curbside waiting to be picked up. The driver will then bring the minibus to the

agreed upon meeting space and will transfer you to the Hilton Universal City.

The rest of the afternoon is free. There will be time to relax at the hotel or

go shopping nearby. A Welcome Dinner will be enjoyed at a restaurant at

CityWalk.

· Note: The bus charter is for the five days of your stay and the bus

will be available as per the quote submitted in November 2008. Each day's bus

time is calculated per the schedule quoted to CTC by Green Earth Travel.

Wednesday, Sept 2

 

Vegan box lunches will be delivered to the hotel. After breakfast, the driver

will transfer the group to the Animal Sanctuary in Acton. The group will spend

the day there volunteering their time to this well-deserved facility. In the

late afternoon, the group will be returned to Los Angeles for a free evening,

dinner on their own.

Bus Time: 12 hours

 

 

 

Thursday, Sept 3

 

Vegan box lunches will be delivered to the hotel. After breakfast, the driver

will transfer the group to the the Gibbon Center. The group will spend the day

there participating in the various care activities at the well-deserved

facility. In the late afternoon, the group will be returned to Los Angeles for

dinner at a nearby vegan restaurant and a free evening.

Bus Time: 12 hours

 

Friday, Sept 4

 

After breakfast the group will meet the CTC Tour Director in the Lobby to begin

a full day sightseeing tour of the city. The group will first visit the Downtown

area, Staples Center, Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, Old Town, Disney Concert Hall

and the Cathedral of Our Lady of The Angels. Then they will go to Hollywood's

Sunset Boulevard, the Kodak Theater, from which they can see the famous sign,

Mann's Chinese Theater, and then continue on to Beverly Hills, and Farmer's

Market for lunch. There they will enjoy a meal at anyone of the myriad of

restaurants to please their palates. The tour continues on to Santa Monica for a

sunset dinner at the Third Street Promenade on their own before returning to the

hotel.

Saturday, Sept 5

 

After breakfast, the group will again meet their CTC Tour Director in the Lobby

for a tour of Pasadena to see the lovely homes, gardens and Museums. This is

also the home of the Rose Bowl and the Rose Parade. After a Mexican lunch in the

classic part of town, the group will transfer back to the hotel to prepare for

the Gala dinner at the Animal Sanctuary in Acton. After dinner, the group will

be transferred back to the hotel.

Bus Time: 13 hours

 

Sunday, Sept 6

 

After breakfast, and check-out of the Hilton Universal City, the group will be

transferred via minibus to the Los Angeles International Airport for the flight

home, taking with them happy memories of their trip to Southern California.
