This restaurant location lost money every month except for 2 months…. I

doubt if we can help make it profitable EVERY month of the year… (Sunny’s

opinion)

People said to me, the prices are too high. It is definitely so when the

recession is hitting right now.

I personally think Café Gratitude should stick to local organic ingredients,

and not something like,,, (they serve most of these, might not be all….)

Himalayan Salt, Tibetan Gogi berries, Acai, Bhutanese rice, etc… are all

exotic expensive non local ingredients

This is just my opinion. I can’t even order good old ordinary locally

grown brown rice … I have to order fancy rice for $3.50 which is l/2 a cup

full….

Medicine Eatstation went out of business. They insisted on using the most

expensive ingredients.. like Passion Rice (purple). I knew with such high

overhead, if would be hard for the restaurant to make a profit…

I love the outdoor garden. It’ll be hot for the next few days.. so go check

out the garden if you’ve never had raw foods there…. You might be too late

if you hesitate

The other restaurants will not close.

Here’s what someone posted….on a VEG list

I think $$$ will keep the business open……. Not clamor

Café Gratitude on 9th Ave. in San Francisco will close as early as May 1st.

The location has not been making money, their lease is up on 5/1, and the

landlord wanted them to sign a 20 year lease. If another tenant does not

rent the place, they'll stay open for business on a month to month basis.

I've already made a reservation for a group in mid-June but they may be

closed. Their other locations will remain open but the 9th Ave. site is my

favorite. If you like this restaurant, please comment on their web page,

call them, dine there before the end of this month, and let them know you'd

like them to remain open. Our waitperson indicated a clamor might work to

keep them open. Thanks. Lisa
