Here's a comment I posted on the SF Chronicle's story about the swine

flu. Please post your own messages and feel free to share this one with

others. We need to be educated and to educate others, staying on top of

the issues and outreaching to our communities. It's literally a matter

Note that all of the flu pandemics of the last century have originated

in the poultry industry and sometimes also involve the pig industry.

What we eat is making us sick in more ways than one. Vegetarianism is

much healthier for you and your family, much safer for public health,

much more compassionate toward animals, and much more sustainable for
