Guest guest
Hey everyone, Animal Place has a few upcoming farm tours where you can feed the rabbits, chat with the chickens, pet the goats and sheep, and maybe even feed a cow or too. After the tour, enjoy lemonade and vegan cookies! We are only about an hour from San Francisco in Vacaville, within easy driving distance. The tours are $10/person and we suggest ages 10 and older, though exceptions for well-behaved youngsters can be made. You can purchase tickets through our website: http://www.animalplace.org/events.html Upcoming tours: May 16th - 10-12:00 pm May 16th - 1:00 - 3:00 pm May 23rd - 12:00 - 2:00 pm Marji Beach Education Coordinator Animal Place marji
Guest guest
Hi all, First, Marji, thanks for the great tour last month. Folks, I would highly recommend the Animal Place farm tours. It's really heartening to see the animals who have been rescued from being slaughtered, to hear their stories, and know that now they can instead live their lives naturally (no confinement), with sunshine, grass and dirt, food and veterinary care. BAVeg had our tour there last month and I'm in process of uploading the photos and have got a few up so far. http://bayareaveg.org/gallery2/main.php But, anyways, I digress -- if you appreciate animals as being individuals in their own right, with their own needs and interests, but don't want the day-to-day responsibility of caring and feeding for them, Animal Place does that, every day. And on special days throughout the year, they open the Vacaville sanctuary to the public. Here's the photographs from past BAVeg tours http://www.bayareaveg.org/gallery2/v/animal-place-08/ http://www.bayareaveg.org/gallery2/v/animal-place-07/ http://www.bayareaveg.org/gallery2/v/animalplace06 http://www.bayareaveg.org/gallery2/v/ap For Animal Place tours > You can purchase tickets through our website: http://www.animalplace.org/events.html Cheers, Tammy My two cents, vegan-style .. - today or read it on GenerationV.org Save a life today - help us with public education & outreach 05/30 Veg Outreach & Education at Maker Faire - San Mateo County Fairgrounds 06/07 Food for Thought Book Club: Animals Rights Philosophy & Picnic - rescheduled - TBD
